There are many exciting things happening in our church. Here are some of the upcoming events:
We have two summer local mission projects :
During May and June we are collecting new flip flops to support Rev. Donna Christine Park's "Walk A Mile In My Shoes" Mission.
We also have an ongoing summer project to collect water for the City of Mesa to distribute where needed. Last year we collected over 3,000 bottles of water. We hope to exceed that number this year.
The Support Group meets the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 2:30pm in Cerbin Hall.
Saturday, June 22 Ed Walsh and Pastor Nick will hold a "Good Grief Day" from 10am - 1pm
The DMM and DWM meet the first Saturday of the month at 9am at The Village Inn on Baseline and Signal Butte.
Pastor Nick starts a new Bible Study Class on Wednesday, June 19 at 2:30pm. The study will be on "He Chose the Nails" by Max Lucado.
The Choir will be taking a break during July. Special music will be performed during worship. We will also start the service with a 15 minute hymn sing. This is always fun - getting to pick your favorite hymn.
On July 7 we will have an indoor picnic during Fellowship to celebrate July 4th. Hamburgers and hotdogs with all the fun picnic food - i.e., beans, potato salad, - no ants - just good food.
